Good Habits While Eating Help You Lose Weight Naturally

????????Map of FranceEver wonder why the French are some of the healthiest people on the planet when they indulge in high fat sauces, fatty duck liver/fois gras, red wine, chocolate and smoking?

I have and I wanted to know…So, I pondered and did a little bit of research on it…

The main reasons why they are healthy, even though they indulge, is because:

1. They eat smaller meals.

2. They eat slower than we do.

I don’t have to explain #1 to you, but you may wonder, “How in the world do they eat smaller meals and don’t feel hungry?” Well, partly because they eat more frequently, and because they are allowing the body to “choose” when it’s not hungry anymore…

It takes a good 20 minutes for the message to get from your stomach to your brain that you are no longer full and you have eaten a sufficient amount.

What does this mean to me?
I NEED to time myself eating…If I eat way too fast, slow down…enjoy time at the table conversating with my family.

This way, your brain can catch up with how your stomach feels, and you’ll be able to stop eating before you gorge yourself. You’ll eat less and you’ll feel a lot better! No more upset tummies after eating too much.

Now, I am by no means saying that times come up where you need to hurry up and eat, or you won’t eat anything at all. It really comes down to what your decisions consists of “most of the time”. What is your trend and habits?

If you, more often than not, eat more slowly, you’ll be able to eat less and still feel full. This term has been coined “Conscious Eating”. You are paying attention to the flavors and paying attention to what your brain is telling you about your state of satiation.
