We’re Fat?

It’s not McDonald’s.

It’s not Burger King.

It’s not saturated fat.

It’s not the new FAD “0″ trans fat.

If you think this is the ONLY reason we’re fat, you’re on a long road to success.

We’re not fat because our metabolism is low or because we don’t eat smaller meals…just more of them.

We’re not fat because “the man” is not telling us how many calories are in our Fast Food “grab a bite to go” meals.

Our kids our fat.
Their friends are fat.

It’s not because we don’t drink a full glass of water before each meal.
or because we don’t stop eating after 6:00 or 8:00 pm.

It’s not because we don’t increase our fiber making us feel full and not want to eat.

The fat won’t melt away because we walk 1 mile a day, or park the car further away from our destination making us get in those few extra steps each day.

Surgery isn’t the answer.
Liposuction isn’t the answer.
Calorie counting isn’t the answer.

Tae-bo and every other late night weight loss bootcamp can’t do crap.

You can hit the treadmill for 45 minutes, then slam the weights around doing a full body circuit 4 times a week.

You’re still “gonna” be fat.

Just because you become a vegetarian and do the colon cleanse, the kidney cleanse, the toxic cleanse, the liver cleanse, and detox every organ in your body…

If you think that doing all this is going to make you skinny and fit into that dress you have hanging on the door for the last 3 months, forget it!

If you think that 6 pack of abs they told you is hiding under your layers of fat is going to suddenly appear…dream on.

If you think that’s all it takes to “strip the fat” then…

You’re still “gonna” be fat.

What about all the diets and weight loss plans?

Then, why aren’t they working?
Why are we getting fatter?
And why are we not just fat, but Obese?

Let’s be REAL for just 2 Seconds..

They are ALL just tricks.

We’re like dogs…if we do enough tricks we think that eventually we’ll get a treat.

That treat is a nice slim waist, sexy tight butt, figure 8 frame, “V” shaped back, long slender legs, great arms, and a super high fat burning furnace…my metabolism!

If you think that the next diet you start on January 1st is going to be your fat loss savior… I guarantee it, you’ll be cheating by January 3rd and done by the 7th.

It’s what “the biggest losers” have in common.
It’s what Jared, the “Subway” man, has.

The Secret is simply…”Your Mind”.

Anyone can lose some weight with the proper system and “tricks”.

But as long as your “head” keeps getting in the way, you’ll ALWAYS be fat.

You must find the determination and tenacity that no matter what, come hell or high water or dog fight, “I’m going to lose this weight and keep it off”.

You must find a reason or belief that is so much more important, so much greater for losing weight, than just “I want to lose some extra pounds”.

Look at the contestants of the Biggest Loser.

They are crying, missing their families, passing out…

…But they have changed their mind…

…They have found a reason for not being “fat” that gets them out of the bed and ready to do whatever the heck it takes to lose that weight.

Once you “change your mind”, you can do anything.

Then, and ONLY then, will any of these weight loss products, supplements, diets, training, cleanses, and other tricks work.

You’re so right on this… Often we are our won worst enemies, especially if your mind gets in our way. In fact, losing weight permanently is more about a lifestyle change then anything else. Nad for the lifestyle change to happen, we need to change our minds.

That is totally the issue.
Like Gerald mentioned, often, we are our own worst enemies.
And that applies very much to me. Haha.
I let my mind get in the way, I keep comparing myself to others. And it makes things even more complicated. Diets definitely don’t work. The media can be so much pressure. It’s crazy.

I’ll keep this in mind.
Cause I’m up for losing 10-15 lbs.
And I’m glad I read this article. Haha.

great article. i was sitting here, at 1:45 am browsing for something really inspirational about weight loss….i’ve been losing sleep over the extra poundage, i’ve got about 70 pounds to lose. this article really speaks the truth. thanks.
