We had smoothies for breakfast with berries, goat’s yogurt and greens…

Kenney made his amazing Creamy Mushroom Soup for us today, after we begged for it for a few days already!

It was the best that he’s ever made. We bought crimini, shiitake, enoki, oyster, giant oyster and portabello mushrooms. We also finished the soup off with truffle oil…

I mean…This stuff is absolutely delectable! I could eat it every day! Mushrooms are approved for this phase of The Maker’s Diet.

MushroomsWhat’s amazing about mushrooms is that they have huge immune system benefits…They can prevent colds and keep you healthy.

Also, mushrooms have many nutrients, like iron, riboflavin and niacin, as well as potassium, selenium, copper and zinc.

They have other nutrients that other foods don’t have, such as L-ergothioneine found in portabellos and criminis in particular. Many mushrooms also have anti-tumor properties in them.

However, the best part about eating mushrooms as a natural weight loss food is because they are jam packed with flavor, low in fat and you feel satisfied with some tasty meals!

They provide water and fiber, and protein especially when combined with grains to make complete proteins.

Let’s just say, I’ve never met a mushroom I didn’t love!

There’s a reason God created them for us!
