It’s Day 31, Phase 3 of The Maker’s Diet.
We’re in the home stretch with less than 10 days to go on the 40 day health experience.
I wanted to let you in on a new food we tried for the first time!
Millet!
It’s great for a hot breakfast cereal, a side dish at lunch or dinner, or combined with beans or other legumes to make a complete protein for dinner.

It can be served hot or cold…I’m thinking of making a millet “tabbouleh”…I know, it won’t be made with wheat, but with millet, but I think the flavors would work well together and give us something different and make our diet more diversified!
We all quite liked it.
You combine a pinch of sea salt, if desired, with 1 part millet and 3 parts water after boiling, then simmer it uncovered for 5-8 minutes. That’s it!
We added unpasteurized/unheated honey, some butter and kefir or plain yogurt to it for breakfast, but you may also add fruit to it…try a little cinnamon and raisins!
I’ve got all kinds of great ideas for using this hearty food in this phase of The Maker’s Diet…Try it, you’ll like it!

Day 31 down, 9 to go…Happy and Healthy!

P.S. It actually would be cheaper for us to purchase the millet in this larger quantity than what we bought at our health food store:
