2. A can of Great Value black eye peas. A can of these type of peas has 17 grams of fiber and 35 grams of protein.

This is great news for your diet. Why? It has now become common knowledge that fiber will help you to lose weight and become more healthy. The reason is that fiber cleans out the colon and increases mineral and vitamin absorption. It’s is known that “old” food can stay in your colon for up to 20 years or more and that you can lose 3-10 pounds just cleaning it out. Well, that is one major job of fiber. Also, fiber decreases hunger. This will help you to curb hunger and to eat less other food.

So, if you eat 25 grams of protein (which is approximately 100 calories) it will take you 30 calories just to digest it.
