Everyone has their problem areas.

For some people, it is their waist. For some, it is their hips or thighs, and for others they may have fat storage behind the arms. Summary: I believe you can increase how quickly you burn fat in a particular area, and whether or not fat is stored there in the future and although “science can’t give us a concrete answer just yet, there are experiments that back up what I say, and you can just look at walking, real life examples everyday”.

Really what it comes down to is building muscle in the chest/pectoral area and doing some type of fat burning workout.

This will give you the muscle you need in the chest to decrease the chances of fat being stored there and to increase how quickly fat is burned in the “man boob” area. The fat burning workout will “burn the fat” stored in the body as a whole.

Now, let me make sure that you understand exactly what I am saying…

I believe that when you do a fat burning workout, it will burn the fat in the whole body, you can’t control where the fat is being pulled from, BUT…

If you develop muscle in a particular area of the body (like the man boob problem spot), then you increase the speed at which fat is burned in that particular area, while decreasing the chances that fat will ever be stored there again.

Exercise to Get Rid Of Man Boob

Here are 3 exercises you can use to get rid of man boobs:

1. Any high intensity “fat burning” or “cardio workout”. You see these example of high intensity workouts all the time on late night TV. Actually, most any type of high intensity movement you sustain for longer than 20 minutes will burn fat in your whole body. Just find one that you like, so that it is easy to stay consistent with doing it.

2. Bench press! This is by far the best movement that you can do to get rid of man boobs and develop a toned looking chest. If you can’t get to a gym, then do push ups.

3. Dumb bell flys – You simply lay on your back and stretch your arms out in front of you with dumb bells in your hands. Then, slowly take the dumb bells out to your side, as if you are getting ready to give someone a huge hug, then bring them back up in front of you.

    You make a good point that it’s impossible to spot tone a single part of your body with exercise. I think that this is the biggest misconception about what it takes to get a flat stomach

    I agree, But my advice is to do some sort of cardio for at least 30 minutes
    Also, in order to lose at least a pound, you have to go exercise daily over the course of a week.
    But why is it so difficult for most people to get a six pack?

    @Mike: Yeah of course, I totally agree. You need to do burn some calories whether that is with cardio or with anaerobic exercise. Sometimes you may need to workout twice. Once in the morning or at lunch and then in the evening. It’s all about doing whatever it takes. It will pay off.

    It’s difficult because that’s what we call that stubborn fat. In order to really show that six pack you will have to get your body fat percentage down even more. Six pack abs aren’t for “average” folks. So, in order to get them you have to be unaverage (if that’s a word…lol). Low body fat + stomach muscles = six pack.

  7. Good exercise tips but losing man boobs has more to do with hormones than just training. Of course the right training helps, but it’s not everything. It’s the combination of hard training (Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press) and the right nutrition that makes the difference.
