Fast Diets To Lose Weight – Cabbage, Lemonade, Fads, & Scarsdale

When you finally get to a position and realization that you want to lose weight, learning about fast diets to lose weight is what naturally comes to mind.

But what diets will help you and what fad diets will hurt you? What are the best ways to lose weight? Is fad dieting more hurtful than helpful? These also are natural questions that you will have.

In this post I wanted to cover a couple of these popular weight loss diets like: the lemonade diet, cabbage soup diet, Scarsdale diet, and the three day diet. If you need to lose, then check out these facts below.

Fast Diets To Lose Weight

A. Lemonade diet: The lemonade diet comes from the “master cleanse” to help you detox your body and lose weight. It’s a 10 day diet that involves drinking a lemonade concoction. You are supposed to drink 60oz of lemonade a day. You can drink water also. But that is it. You can not eat any other food or drinks except the salt water flush and the morning tea. The whole idea behind this fad diet is to detox the body, cleanse the colon, and help you to lose by default because you aren’t consuming very many calories.

The reason I say “by default” is because this really isn’t a “diet” per se… but you lose weight because weight is loss by consuming less calories than you burn. If you are only drinking lemonade, tea, and water you aren’t taking in very many calories. This shouldn’t be thought of as much of a diet, but a fast and a cleanse.

B. The Cabbage Soup Diet: This is a “fast weight loss 7 day diet” that is high in fiber and low in fat, and low calorie. The whole idea is that you are eating one of the best foods that is high in fiber. Because it is high in fiber it will cleanse your colon and help you to rid of the waste that has accumulated over the months and years. You will lose weight only because you consume a lot less calories than you are probably use to eating and it will help you to create a calorie deficit. This is not a long term diet. So, what do you do if you need more time to lose the weight that you need to get to your goal weight? How will you build lean muscle (or maintain what you do have) if you don’t eat any protein?

C. The Scarsdale Diet: Is a 14 day medical diet. A big concept with the Scarsdale diet is to eat until you are satisfied, not until you are full. You can snack on celery and carrots in between meals. Everyday for breakfast you eat: a slice of protein bread, half a grapefruit, and tea or coffee. The diet allows for you to eat a variety of balanced dishes. Your daily meals have different types of proteins like: fish, chicken, or lamb. Most all of the meals are accompanied by sides of veggies or salads and coffee, tea, or diet soda to drink.

Of these 3 diets, the Scarsdale 14 Day Medical diet is the only that is worthy of even thinking about, the only one that should be on your list to even debate trying. It really becomes a way of life and a diet that you could stay on for life to help you lose the pounds. The major downside is the protein bread. It’s not good to have that much bread in your diet from a health perspective. Most meals are 30 minute meals also. They are fast to prepare which is great for people who need to lose weight and have very little time.

If you are looking for a way to lose weight, and these were your only 3 options, then I would only recommend the Scarsdale diet. This is a great diet to help you lose weight fast. I do not recommend diet only. As you continue to look for how to lose weight, you will find that it’s not just about the diet.

But developing your body through exercise is critical to lose successfully and keep it off. If you don’t want to be on the diet yo-yo, then don’t forget about body building. I hope that you enjoyed this post on these fast diets to lose weight.
