If you have been on a quest to get a tight, firm, and more rounded butt, then you will love this little known butt exercise that you can do, laying in bed, that will help shape and tone your bum.
I know this seems like a dream exercise, but it works great. If you do it, it will help you to tone and strengthen the muscles in your butt. It’s important to do this, as the butt should be the strongest part of your body.
The exercise that I am talking about is called isometric butt squeezes. This means that you are going to squeeze (or flex) your butt and hold that position for 30 seconds.
Isometric Butt Squeezes (Exercises)
Here’s how to use these exercises to shape and firm your butt. Every morning when you wake up roll over on your stomach, if you are not already there, and with your legs straight, squeeze your butt cheeks together as hard as you can without catching a cramp.
Hold this position for 30 seconds. You should feel your hips being pressed forward and into the mattress. Repeat this exercise 5 times with only a 30 second rest in between. If you need a little more time to rest that is ok, but no more than 45 seconds.
The idea is to fatigue the butt and cause it to recruit and use all of its muscle. This way you get a better full booty workout.
If you don’t want to do this 5 minute butt workout in the morning, then you can do it at other times of the day, including: after you’re more awake and just before breakfast, just before lunch, and just before dinner are all great times. And you can also do it standing up.
Actually I like to mix it up. Alternate days of standing and laying for great variation to the exercise.
The reason I say “just before” a meal, is because when you eat it will help you to use the calories and nutrients from the food better so that they aren’t stored as fat for later use. This exercise will help you to lose weight also because it is helping your to increase your metabolism.
